North Street Bridge - Leisurely 4-Hour Trip

"Go with the flow" down the North Branch of the Moose River. Pristine Adirondack scenery surrounds you as you float down this winding river. Small sandy beaches dot the banks and are ideal for picnicking and swimming. Wildlife such as deer, beaver, otter and Great Blue Herons are frequently spotted along the shores.

Tickner's van will shuttle you and the boats to the put-in. Bring your own or rent from us. Then enjoy a quiet, leisurely paddle as you head downstream approximately eight miles to Tickner's dock on the Middle Branch of the Moose River. About ¾ into the trip, a portage of around 300 yards on a well-marked trail is required around Indian Rapids. (We have portaging wheels available for those interested.) Not long after the small rock garden, the North Branch of the Moose meets the Middle Branch of the Moose where you'll end your journey at Tickner's dock. Most of our customers spend about 4 hours enjoying the trip, while others paddle straight through in 3, and some choose to spend 5, playing along the way.

Reservations are typically a good idea. Tickner's opens daily at 8:30 a.m. during the summer season and closes at 6:00 p.m. Our van runs back and forth to the put in from opening until about 5 hours before we close so that we can make sure you make it back to our shop before we close. Just give us a call to let us know what time you are interested in going and have your credit card ready so that we can hold the boats of your choice for you. (Spring and Fall hours/days may vary.)
